The Challenge

Most programs end at college acceptance. HighView begins there.

College acceptance is not the finish line. For first-generation and low-income students, the hardest part often comes next: turning a degree into a strong first job.

Many students do everything right: they work hard, get good grades, and persist through college graduation. But when it comes time to secure internships and full-time roles, they are competing in a system built around informal networks, prior work experience, professional confidence, and insider knowledge.

HighView closes that gap by helping students build the core advantages many students from well-connected families often inherit.

  1. 01

    The network gap

Students often lack access to the relationships that lead to internships, referrals, mentors, and first jobs.

  2. 02

    The experience gap

Early career roles increasingly expect prior work experience, which favors students with inherited networks and unpaid resume-building opportunities.

  3. 03

    The confidence gap

Students need repeated exposure to professional spaces to build fluency, belonging, and readiness.

The HighView Model

Three integrated components. One throughline to a high-opportunity career.

HighView students do not build career readiness in a classroom. They build it inside the workplaces where high-opportunity careers begin.

Through year-round programming inside Colorado’s top companies, our College-to-Career Accelerator builds durable skills, AI fluency, social capital, and real-world experience across all four years of college.

01

Durable Skills + AI

Skills That Top Employers Demand

Through workshops and AI training, students develop the competencies hiring managers prioritize: effective communication, critical thinking, problem solving, professionalism, workplace navigation, and applied AI fluency.

02

Social Capital

Connections That Open Doors

Onsite corporate immersion sessions, 1:1 mentorship, and networking events build valuable relationships and confidence while teaching students the unspoken norms for navigating professional spaces.

03

Real-World Experience

Career-Aligned Work for Competitive Resumes

Paid internships, projects, micro-internships, and job shadows enable students to graduate with relevant work experience, stronger resumes, professional references, and clear preparation for full-time roles.
